Will there be an Escapists 3?

Yes — The Escapists 3 was announced on October 8, 2026 at the Triple-i Initiative's fall showcase, where it was the headline reveal. Team17's own announcement poked fun at the question the community had been asking for years: "Escapists 3 when? Well folks, Escapists 3 NOW."

When does The Escapists 3 come out?

The announced window is 2027. No day or month has been shared yet; the release date hub will carry it the moment that changes.

Is it the same developers as The Escapists 2?

Not the same studio. The first two games were developed by Mouldy Toof Studios with Team17 publishing; The Escapists 3 is developed in-house at Team17, per the game's own legal notice. Several veterans are on it — Matt Burnill, Creative Manager on the new game, designed on The Escapists 1, The Walking Dead, The Escapists 2 and The Survivalists.

Is The Escapists 3 3D?
